To facilitate Downtown Line 1 Chinatown station construction works, the Land Transport Authority will be temporarily diverting the stretch of Upper Cross Street between Yue Hwa Building and Block 34 from 7am on Monday, 18 January 2010.

The existing temporary bus stop along Upper Cross Street in front of Block 34 will be relocated back to its original position in front of the S-11 coffeeshop.

The temporary taxi stand along Upper Cross Street in front of People's Park Centre will be relocated to the existing temporary bus stop in front of Block 34.

In addition, the Land Transport Authority will also be reinstating Park Crescent and the alley between Yue Hwa Building and OG Building.

The temporary road diversion is expected to remain in place till the project is completed in 2013.

Directional and information signs will be placed along Upper Cross Street and at the temporary taxi stand and bus stop to inform and guide motorists and commuters.
