The Land Transport Authority will be reinstating the stretch of Republic Avenue near Nicoll Highway and opening a new slip road from Nicoll Highway to Republic Avenue on 4 July 2009.

With the opening of the new slip road, the existing slip road from Nicoll Highway to Republic Avenue will be closed. The other bound slip road from Republic Avenue to Nicoll Highway will remain open until the new slip road is ready in September 2009.

Directional and information signs will be placed along the affected road to inform and guide motorists.
