To facilitate construction works for the Jurong East Modification Project (JEMP), the Land Transport Authority will be closing Jurong East Street 12 from Sunday, 5 July 2009 at 2am.

At the same time, a stretch of the existing Summit Lane will be closed and traffic will be diverted to the new Summit Lane.

The existing taxi bay and bus drop-off / pick-up points along Jurong East Street 12 (below the MRT tracks) will also be relocated nearer to Jurong East Street 13.

With the closure of Jurong East Street 12, the bus stop in front of Blk 131, along Jurong East Street 13, will be closed. Bus services no. 51, 66, 78, 79, 105, 160 and 197 will be diverted to ply along Boon Lay Way. In addition, bus services no. 105 and 160 will also not call at the bus stop in front of Seventh Day Adventist Church.

Directional and information signs will be placed along the affected roads to inform and guide motorists.

During the first week of the road diversion, CISCO and traffic wardens will also be on site to assist motorists.
