Permanent Change of Cross Junction at Tuas Road/Gul Circle/Tuas Avenue 3 To Through Dual Carriageway

The Land Transport Authority will be realigning a section of Tuas Road between Tuas Avenue 5 and the Pan Island Expressway (PIE) and converting an existing cross junction at Tuas Road/Tuas Avenue 3/Gul Circle to a through dual carriageway to facilitate the construction of Tuas West extension’s Gul Circle MRT station. This change will take effect from 23 June 2013.

Temporary Closure of BKE Between Dairy Farm Flyover and Chantek Flyover

To facilitate the works for the ongoing project for the construction of an Eco-Bridge across BKE linking nature reserves, a stretch of BKE (both bounds) between Dairy Farm Flyover and Chantek Flyover will be temporarily closed on 19, 20, 26, 27 June 2013 from 12.30am and 5am.

'Dismount and push' cycling reminders at more crossings

We refer to Mr Chin Kee Thou’s letter, ‘Don't forget signs for cyclists’ (Sunday Times, 9 Jun). For safety reasons, it is important for cyclists to slow down when they approach a junction and to dismount from their bicycles to push their bicycles across a junction or pedestrian crossing. We have therefore have installed “Dismount and Push” signs at pedestrian crossings with high volume of bicycle and pedestrian traffic.
