Activation of Relocated ERP Gantry along Bendemeer Road

4.     To facilitate the construction works as part of the Woodsville Interchange upgrading project, LTA announced in November last year that the existing ERP gantry along Bendemeer Road would be temporarily re-located about 100 metres further down the road, until 2011.

5.     Installation of the new gantry is completed and ERP operations along Bendemeer Road will be switched over to the new gantry from 2 February 2009.

6.     After the switch over, the re-located ERP gantry will operate for the entire period while construction works for the Woodsville Interchange upgrading project are ongoing. With the switch over, the existing Bendemeer Road gantry will be decommissioned. Motorists joining Bendemeer Road from the slip road off PIE (Tuas) will pass through two ERP gantries - the existing ERP gantry along the slip road off PIE (Tuas) and the re-located ERP gantry along Bendemeer Road. However, the existing ERP gantry along the slip road off PIE (Tuas) will not be operational during this period. Hence, motorists will only be charged as they pass the relocated ERP gantry along Bendemeer Road.

7.     The upgrading works for the Woodsville Interchange are expected to be completed in end 2011. The relocated ERP gantry at Bendemeer Road will then be shifted back to its current location. The ERP gantry along the slip road off PIE (Tuas) will also revert back to normal operation.
