1. The Land Transport Authority will divert traffic to China Street with effect from Thursday, 20 August 2009 at 0300 hours. This is to facilitate the construction of the Downtown Line 1 (DTL1) Telok Ayer Station.

2. Please note that the access to China Street via the viaduct will be changed. Motorists can no longer enter China Street via the down-ramp of the viaduct. Here are two options to access China Street (Please see attached map for driving directions):

i) Motorists can continue to access China Street via Pickering Street.

ii) Motorists can access the China Street via the at grade road along Cross Street. Motorists are advised to keep to the right outer-most lane after Cheng Wan Seng Place.

4. Traffic flow at China Street will remain unchanged.

5. Ample road signage, indicating the above diversion will be put up at roads leading to the viaduct ramp and various locations to inform and guide motorists.
