Temporary Road Closure At Braddell Road


A stretch of Braddell Road, between Bishan Road and Toa Payoh North flyover (both directions), will be closed to traffic from 23 September 2003 to 24 September 2003, between 1.00 am and 5.00 am daily. This is to facilitate the demolition of the two pedestrian overhead bridges. A new pedestrian overhead bridge near Guangyang Secondary School has been opened for public use.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES

Lornie Road/Upper Thomson Road towards Toa Payoh/Central Expressway (CTE)/Upper Serangoon Road

Motorists travelling on Braddell Road heading towards Toa Payoh/CTE/Upper Serangoon Road are advised to use Bishan Road and Bishan Street 11. For motorists heading towards Toa Payoh, they can make a U-turn at the Braddell Road/Lorong Chuan/CTE junction.

Toa Payoh/CTE/Upper Serangoon Road towards Lornie Road/Upper Thomson Road

Motorists travelling on Braddell Road heading towards Lornie Road/Upper Thomson Road are advised to use Toa Payoh Lorong 6, Toa Payoh North flyover, Bishan Street 11, and Bishan Road. Following that, motorists can proceed towards Braddell Road and Lornie Road/Upper Thomson Road.

Bishan Road towards Toa Payoh/CTE/Upper Serangoon Road

Motorists travelling on Bishan Road and heading towards Toa Payoh/CTE/Upper Serangoon Road are advised to turn into Bishan Street 11, followed by a left turn into Braddell Road.

For motorists heading towards Toa Payoh, they can make a U-turn at the Braddell Road/Lorong Chuan/CTE junction.

Toa Payoh/CTE/Upper Serangoon Road towards Bishan Road

Motorists heading towards Bishan Road are advised to make a U-turn at the Toa Payoh Lorong 1/Lorong 6 junction, and use Bishan Street 11.

Motorists are advised to drive carefully and follow the directional signs on display.
